I guess I pardoned your excuses
But there is no undeniable sense of clarification
Because I, I have seen with such clarity, the bitterness

And hatred that resides within your soul

Igniting like an everlasting flame
Prometheus is not to blame
And in the darkness it blazes
With witchcraft, with deceitfulness,
With spite directed at me
For my mistake of being human

It gets harder with each climb
And more profound with each second
These tears I shed aren't of pain
But of raging anger,

The same anger you projected at me
And maybe some day it will
Rain down to extinguish our fire
And turn hate into love
But for now anger is our mutual friend
It will rain

Hot, crackling fire shimmers its way
Into the spotlight
It will rain
When the orange hues fade to blue
To a calming shade of white
When the sky no longer echoes anger
When the stars stop twinkling with rage
When storm clouds form
Make it rain
Make it rain down
Sweltering with sin
And purging itself from pain
It will rain

This piece is inspired by Foy Vance's song, "Make It Rain", especially when Ed Sheeran covered it for the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack.
