My Little Girl

My Little girl watched me drink too much
She watched me ruin my life right in front of her
and she begged and pleaded me to stop
and she gave me a reason to live.
a chance to fix my mistakes.
and seeng her now
lying in the hospital bed
cold and lifeless
has never known a real family.
and now she never will
all because of a bottle of pills
