She was a Mystery to All Around
She was a mystery to all around
Her smile was convincing everyone
That she was okay
Her smile was so convincing
No one ever thought she’d end up like that
With the bathtub full of a mix --
Water and blood
She probably even smiled while
Drifting away to everlasting sleep
I don’t doubt that she was crying
Salty never-ending tears
She was always by herself
She was the wisest out of everyone I knew
I told her I was in love with her
Her everything
She said it wasn’t real
She said it was all an illusion
And that feelings aren’t ever true
How would I tell her
That she appeared in my dreams
And I hugged the pillow while asleep
Pretending it was her skin and bones
Pressed close against mine
I dreamt everyday in class
Of her lips
And holding her hand, interwined with her fingers
And feeling the love from her
But I knew I could only dream.
She was the best thing that ever happened to me.
She was a mystery to all around
But looked nothing as a pretty diamond or a golden ring
She looked as no one much important
But with a soul inside and kindness, and love, and oceans so deep and galaxies and stars and comets and the whole f***ing universe.
I told her I was in love with her.
Her everthing.
And she said it wasn’t real.
But for once, she was wrong,
I really was in love.
And as in a formality,
She f***ed up my reality.
