Give Me Life
Give me life,
Give me life!
Show me the dancing of the greats,
The beauty of every little piece!
Show me the skewed view of the ant on the ground
Give me happiness, and
Give me sadness
Let me feel the agony of death
And the disappointment of betrayal
The "bang, bang" of the heart
As it feels embarrassed and
The flare of the heat on the neck
Let me feel the passion
Of the beat of the drums,
Give me what no one else wants
Give me the struggle and the fight
Let me claw my way to the top
Let me experience the putrid eye
Of hate and feel the whip
Of jealousy lash across my shoulders
Let me fall in agony and mental torment
Give me greatness
Give me hope
Give me courage
Let me become more than I am
Let me believe everything will be alright
Let me hold the weight
Of the universe on my shoulders
Like the scorned Atlas!
Give me these things,
Let me hold the world
So that I may know every crack in the earth
Give me life!
Give me life!

When I wrote this I wanted to show that people struggle and that they aren't alone in that. This is almost a cry to humanity telling them that there is and always will be a struggle no matter what, and the answer isn't in it getting better but learning from it. In my experience you grow more through struggle than anything else, and it makes you experience the good so much deeper and with more apperciation than with out it. I was inspired by humanity in of itself.
