Confused
I really don't know how
to write poetry, or
what is expected of me.
People tell me to go
with the flow, but
they also want iambic pentameter.
And metaphors.
They don't want to hear
of love, loss, angst,
death, depression or
snowy roads.
But that is all they show us.
What else is there to write
great poetry about?
Don't you dare
criticize this poem.
I was upfront with the meaning,
used no pentameter,
and did not write about
loss, angst, or sex.
You're welcome.
Now go analyze the hell
out of this.
