Electric Lady

Hair as wild as
a lion’s mane.
Eyes dark brown like
cocoa grains.
Her voice beautiful like
a lullaby.
Her laugh contagious like
a catchy summer song.
She stands tall and proud like
a tropical bird proud of its feathers.
Her smile melts my heart like
the sun melts ice.
Her tears slice through
me like a knife.
She shines like
diamonds in the sky.
She is my blood and
my bones.
That electric lady is my sister.

My sister is the most amazing 10 year old I have ever met.When we were asked to brainstorm in class about a topic for a new piece in class,I thought about her.It expresses the way I see her and the love and admiration I feel for her.
