Sounds from the other side
i notice the sun shine through the window
i recoil, the light piercing my skin
my mind stumbling back
into the darkness
i don’t know why
moving is so hard for me
my muscles tense in anguish
my crippling depression mistaken
for laziness
my eyes open slowly
silently struggling to focus
on my breakfast
on my homework
on my friends
on my life
i drag my lifeless body
through the twists and turns
slowly tangling myself
in my ghostly remains
people
push away
move away
from me
i don’t know
why i’m so sorry
for myself
