The Hurt of Tomorrow
Struggling
to get through the day.
To act fine
in some sort of way.
You try and you try,
but nothing works.
The comments and words
damage and hurt.
Nobody knows.
You hate going home.
Parents fighting,
feeling all alone.
Students and teachers
don’t help the pain.
You’re helpless and scared;
stuck on a chain.
Sometimes you wonder,
what it would be like.
Get rid of it all,
and just end your life.
You don’t want to stay.
You want to go.
You struggle all day,
and feel so low.
The days pass you by,
you don’t want to talk.
Don’t want to do anything.
Don’t even want to walk.
The thoughts of the blood
running down your wrist,
give you hopefulness,
and internal bliss.
You decide to end it.
To let everything go.
You finally break down;
letting the sadness show.
Thinking about the new chapter,
your life ahead of you.
The great feeling of happiness;
release you can feel too.
A new beginning,
a life without sorrow.
To not have to fear
the hurt of tomorrow.
