No Matter His Hunger
He is king of yogurt
Cultured and rich
But thick, for his arrogant aroma clogs his senses
He is prince of milk
Too sweet for his own good
Too necessary for my health
He is knight of cheese
Moldy and fermented
His image is to me
If only he had the bravery that his title
Should grant him
He is peasant of love
Uneducated and poor
A mere starving follower
No matter his hunger
He doesn’t ever act on satisfying it
Because the herd says he shouldn’t
If only your poor sense of love
and your too sweet taste
and your pompous attitude didn’t
eat away at our hearts
That way
We could be together
Milking cows on a sprawled out ranch in the valley
Not as peasants, not as knights, not as princes, and not as kings
Just as people.
In love.
