I am from
I am from
I am from hundreds of Pokemon cards laid out across my floor
Those holes my brothers and I put in the walls
All of the families shoes by the front door
That book shelf with all of our favorite books
I am from the giant ever-green tree
The basketball hoop in the driveway
Those basketballs, baseballs, and footballs everywhere
With the pond in the backyard
I am from bikers and skateboarders
With all of the old people on their golf carts
So many people walking their dogs
The deer roaming that are “just asking for it.”
I am from my big brother Jon
That was either extremely mean or just a master of tough love
From my dad telling me to “stay busy”
When my older brother Mark would wake me up shaking me and saying “Wake up princess.”
Or my dad yelling “Get up. What do you think you’re a rock star?”
I am from Digiorno pizzas for breakfast
Which me and Jon made traditional
From the hot dogs with mac and cheese
Where there’s never too much apple sauce
I am from shoe boxes
With all my pictures
To storage containers
That held all of my old toys
I am from competition my two older brothers always beating me at everything
Where brother’s sometimes fought
But always loved
