Sleeping in Silence

She sleeps on her stronger side.
As she awakens, she applies
Thoughts that attempt to take away
The pain that will probably present itself.

As the day drives along she dies, slowly.
Little by little, the life leaves.
The woman waits for the world to end.
People pass by with negative notions.

She goes home. The sadness still seeps out.
Her old home is cold and alone.
She prepares a meager meal. Then,
She sleeps on her stronger side.
