Tragedy struck when
I heard you aren’t here.
Not here or there,
Not anywhere near.
You were always proud
Of me no matter what.
I hope to never let that
Go even when I’m stuck.
You always told stories
I’d never forget.
Even while always
Patting my little head.
Grandpa, I know you aren’t around any longer.
But you make me so much stronger.
