Irony
  They think it's just an abstract catchphrase,
  this moribund obsession
  with eternal oblivion or floating in space;
  they go back to breathing
  while you paint galaxies across your fingernails.
  When they think inevitable, they envision vast gaps of time,
  of a future with epiphanies and ancestry...
  you see it in the breeze just beyond your fingertips.
  I wonder if they realize,
  with your long sleeves sly smiles --
  able to laugh at misery and romanticize apathy,
  that you died awhile back.
