Stones of Life
If life be a pile of stones
Let rocks make my bones
Let coal be my anger
My envy, my amber
Let bloodshot rubies be my power
My strength, blooming like a flower
Let jade be my beauty
My pride, rarer than ruby
So many stones
Make my bones
Each holds a special place
Lined in lace
Let turquoise be my hope
My optimism, on an upward slope
Let diamonds be ecstasy,
Be my joy, my serenity
But, a pebble be me,
As I drift in a sea
Though different, I am true
Now I bid thee adieu
