Artificial Love
I once thought
As critical as the hit could be
It was much more critical for me
For when we to be together
My heart was a beautiful feather as soft as your hugs
To cuddle with you in a puddle of love
A man can dream
But now I've regained sight of our so-called "Love"
For no matter how beautiful a feather may be
Whats meaningful is not what the eye can see
So darling my love
Have fun trying to win my heart back
My instinct will be to run because you're killing me
I was fooled by your insightful mockery once
But that was the first and last time
Because to you
I am just a hollow body
I could be anybody
I had entrusted my heart
Blinded by thy light
But now that dawn has come
I'm just plain disgusted
We could've had everything
But a man can dream
As dreams are made to lift hopes
When they are nothing but the never-ending rant of jokes
And this joke I had truly fallen for
To give myself hope instead of despair
I dreamt all day to prosper through the night
But now that I've truly awoken
And regained my sight
I am truly petrified
