Six Dates
0204
Fluttering hearts, stomach butterflies, sweaty palms
Previous assumptions that these feelings were lies in literature vanished for the first time
Darting glances, nervous looks
We entered arm in arm, through the doors together
Ordering coffees, we spoke for hours
Elaborate words aimed to impress
You laugh with a genuine tone
Interested in even the boring aspects of me
0508
Your kiss hastingly smudges my makeup
Hands gripping tightly before clumsy fingers
Fumbling at belts and buttons, before pinning
Me down on a double bed, touching with fire
Nails dragging down the curve of your back
Hot breath in my ear
Then sweat, mummers of love
As I'm laying beside you
0310
Talking quickly became screaming
But neither of us listened
It is too soon for this, it is too early for this
Building a dam, I fight with a planned set up
Whips and fire; using my tongue to shoot
Whilst teeth marks engrave yours
An hour passes before you unleash the harsh truth
Ha ha ha, I was right
1512
Sparkling lights make tinsel glisten in the reflection of your eyes
Dazzling wrapped presents under a tree just remind me
Pretty false promises forced insecurity
Everything is tied in bright colourful ribbons,
Beautiful to catch looks and snatch attention
Passers by would never tell
Lies disguised in white
You pass me a velvet boxed apology
0701
People can taste the pretense in the air
You watch me lose myself
Everybody clutching wine and champagne
Setting my drink aside, you try to catch my eye but I brush you away
Inaudible sounds of hazed disappointment
My world and head are spinning but my walk is strong
I hear your footsteps calling as I let myself drown
0204 2
Stone cold heart, twisting stomach, icy palms
Nobody could transfer this feeling in literature
Darting glances, nervous looks
We all read from ebony books with a cross embedded
Your coffin is lowered in to dirt, after no words for hours
Ramblings in your letter with an explination
I remember the way you hung from a noose as he explains your life,
Interested only in the golden aspects of you
