A Pink Balloon

A pink balloon
Drifting through the pale blue sky.
One splash of paint within
A sea of blue.
To curious onlooker s it means nothing;
Not a seond thought.
Someone gaces upon it then carries on
But to the child slipped away from
It will forver be mourned.
The pink latex filled with helium and dreams
Floating away.
How scary that must be.
Their pink little glimmer of happiness,
That is now floating high above the trees
Kissing the sky as it drifts out of view.
