My Little Sister
Nevaeh, I remember the day you were born,
I have always wanted a sister,
But you were born early,
You were in the Intensive Care Unit,
For around a month,
You were 6lbs 7oz,
14.5 inches long,
The first time I held you,
I remember vividly,You were wired,
I had to be careful that I don’t pull any tubes out,
I knew from that day, you were my world,
You had so much hair, so beautiful, so small,
I kissed your tender, young forehead,
The day I held you, I wish it never ended,
Everyone says you may not survive,
But I had faith in you, you will survive,
I told you “I love you.” and “You are my princess.” ,
But that day, the day you came home,
Was a day that everyone even the angels sung a song,
I was in the car, your little fingers wrapped around mine ,
Telling you “You will love our new house, I love you baby.”
We pulled up to the house,
Just getting you in the house seemed to take hours,
But once we were in the house,
I never wanted to let you go,
And to this day, you are my angel <3
I love you Nevaeh Skye :)
