Why Do We Fear Darkness?
Darkness.
It is everywhere.
In the corner, the closet, the night.
It shakes our very core.
We fear it, hide from it, attempt to destroy it.
Why?
Why are we afraid of the dark?
Darkness is constant, loyal, and reliable.
The one thing that you can always count on.
Yet people still look to pierce the darkness.
They say love makes the darkness go away
But that makes me not want to love.
Why must we free ourselves of something that just wants to love us?
Why must we fear the constant, the normal, the usual?
Why do we fear patterns?
Why do we fear darkness?
