I thought you should know
That when you called me beautiful
you seemed to care
I thought things were different
You’re just the same
as all the others
don’t call me anymore
stop coming to see me
We need to be done now
you’ve taken advantage
how do you look at me
after you’ve done all this damage?

I wrote this piece because I was involved with someone who truly didn't care about me and all I wanted was for him to be different. I kept hoping and all my friends told me it was time to let go. The longer its been since I decided to walk away the more I notice how awfully he treated me and how I was just another girl. He took advantage of my love and compassion and I see that now after I've already been damaged. I want people to know that it's okay to walk away from an unfair relationship and that it isn't okay to let a person walk all over you.
