Favorite Quote:
"A dream without action stays a dream."

The wind is hollowed out at night
when there are no storms and the sky is clear
the birds long gone, the nature world hushed
his soul shook at heaven's touch

He’ll miss the smell of rain
the sound of the leaves crushed under his boot
he’ll miss the sight of his wife’s gentle red hair
the feel of his baby boys soft cheek

When the wind turned harsh
the rain pelted his back like sharpened needles
the breath of the forest ceased
his soul eclipsed by heaven's touch

He missed the feel of his plush feather bed
the taste of warm apple pie
the sight of the first flake of white snow
the last rays of twilight

Mourning the loss of life
accepting the soul of old
the night broke to dawn -
a new day was born

This poem starts as the man is on the brink of death and as he lays dying he thinks about all the things he will miss. At the end of the poem he takes his last breath and life goes on.
