This is for the kids that are called names at school
This is for the kids who are looked down at
For the kids who are never taken seriously
Let it slide

This is for the kid that missed the bus
This is for the kid who lost his phone
For the kid who forgot his homework
Let it slide

This is for the dad who burnt the toast
This is for the mom who can't find her keys
For the sister who can't make things perfect
Let it slide

This is for the dog that got in the trash
This is for the brother that failed his driving test
For the mom that forgot to cook dinner
Let it slide

This is for the daughter who can't come home for Christmas
This is for the son that got home from school late
For the family that stayed up too late
Let it slide

Let it slide when the sun doesn't shine
Let it slide when it rains all the time
Let it slide when it gets dark at 5
Let it slide when it's cold outside
Let it slide

Little things
Can hurt your feelings
But what you can do
Is let it slide

When your luck runs out
And you're feeling down,
What you can do
Is let it slide

You mess things up
And there is nothing to do
But what you can do
Is let it slide

Things will happen
That just don't matter
So what you can do
Is let it slide

Just take your problems
Hold them tight
And when you let go,
Let it slide

Life will be bad
But don't be sad
Not all problems
Really matter
So all you have to do
Is just
Let it slide
