When I'm Old and Gray
When I'm old and gray, the clothes on my back will be as bright as day, shining brightest of all, hoping my husband will help me up when I fall. I don't know who my husband may be, but one day, a loving man by my side is all I can see, along with my children, their smiles all aglow, but seeing them leave to college will make me go, to a better and happier place where love and sunshine is kept at its own pace. My time may still be spent on games, but not any of my kids will know their names, because they weren't born in the same time as me, when video games and great music were the things to see. I taught my kids to not judge a book by its cover, and they smiled and called themselves a lover, of anyone and everyone of every shape, size, and color, making me happy as ever, hootin' and a holler. Just a warning to all of those of the day, when I suddenly become old and gray.

I wrote this for my Sophomore English class last year as an assignment and my dad absolutely loved it. I want people to learn that aging isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is and to not judge people by their looks.
