Her name is Jane
And she used to be a weed
Stubborn, horrible, and ugly
But now she’s a seed
Starting all over
Cleaning off her slate
Becoming better and better
At a nice, steady pace
She smiles more often
Her bitterness continues to dim
She is growing more and more
Now she’s a stem
She is a bud
Generous and kind
Always thinking of others,
Leaving no one behind
She has matured
And continues to still
From a horrible, horrible weed
To a prospering daffodil
