Why can’t I be me?
It’s not that hard
But it is for me
I live in books
Full of tales
And wonders abroad
People don’t see me
I blend in
With my stereotype
To run away
From all that is real
Why not
Go to my books
I can be the hero
The wife
The villain
Where I can see my life
It’s anything but what
I have
Anywhere but where
I am
