Life in Illinois
During the summer we are hit with uncomfortable amounts of heat and humidity
Turing on the A/C and lowering the temperature drastically to cool down
Making almost daily pilgrimages to the pool with friends and family
After enduring several months of uncomfortable humidity
We are rewarded with frigid cold winds that sweep over us like a broom
Quickly we make the conversion from house to car and car to destination to avoid the life threatening climates
Dealing with weather so bad and so low that if the temperature was 0, it would be better than what we already have
And when all the snow and ice gets melted away from the "warmth" in spring, the cycle restarts

I was inspired to write this short poem because of the brutal weather changes Illinois experiences throughout the year.
