Ernesto poem
MORNINGS
Tick,Tick,Tick as the clock strikes seven
Rolling over to stop the alarm she starts to get ready
Walking around softly checking if everyone has left on time
Sliding each curtain open
Gently
Rays of sunshine striking through
Black shirt and pants layed out, makeup scattered around the puddles of water left around the sink
Hair up with soft curls in a low back combed way
All ready, checking if the door is locked puts on her tinted shades and makes her way to the Sazuki
WORK
First one at work
Keys in hand, echoes of the dangling keys as she enters the empty salon
Hands tangled in her bags placed next to her station
Fresh coffee, color bowls washed as the first call comes in
" Hi thanks for calling Louis Anthony this is Sonia speaking how may i help you"
Booked already with four haircuts and two colors
Each haircut she slides her fingers through their wet hair
Slide cutting, sectioning , bringing up each strand making layers
" Would you like side bangs" razor in hand as the hair falls hitting the floor
Heat hitting their scalp, blow drying their hair to perfection
Flipping the ends, curving it around, sliding off the brush landing gently on their shoulders
Hairspray floating in the air, Staining her clothes becoming her own scent
"I love it thank you" Smiles lasting forever
Combs in barbocide, Tips placed on the left side of the drawer
" Bye see you tomorrow everyone"
HOME
Switching lanes, Each light green
Finally home rushing into the door
Bags scattered on the couch
Turning each taco, bothered by each stubble of hair buried in her clothes
Wrapping up and extra plate as i watch my brother snatch it running to work
" So how was your day mom?"
Delight in her face beginning to speak as we feast on our steak tacos
