She (Her)
Looking at her hurt.
She never leaves Crescent Ave.
She dawdles and lingers for days,
waiting for the peculiar men
to help pay her rent.
She gives them her secret grin under Chelsea’s fluorescent luminescence.
They leave with a meal and she leaves with a home.
Her eyes are bright, and they finally got away;
Away from after feasting on that flesh of hers.
It was closing time at Khelsea’s
yet she remains in her seat by herself at a table for two.
Tears trickle down her cheeks and a creature stops by.
It sat down and smiled.
It says, “Hello, my name is Cocaine.”
She said, “Are you here to take away the pain?”
Cocaine twinkled and lured her in,
She took his hand and devoted him the secret grin.
He is ready to excite,
knowing that it was her heart he was borrowing.
He is here to take her destiny
and tear her apart.
She lingers into a trance as snowflakes are fallen
and ascends up her mountain.
She drifts away and reality is stolen.
But she pays no mind, she already lost everything.
