Honestly
It always brings me back to you
It never fails
Your voice whispering to me
Ruining my new beginnings
You always remind me of what it was
And how it was my fault
Maybe it was, but please let me be
Fade away, honestly
Someone new is at the door
I look through the glass before opening
Is it my time to shine with someone new?
Nervousness chills down my spine
And overflows in my veins
I am starting again
I am through with you
Where are you now?
Have you found someone yet?
Have you faded away honestly?

We all have that feeling after a heartbreak, even if we deny it. We always feel an emptiness and are scared that maybe we will not get another chance. When we finally meet someone else, something significant always reminds us of that past person. This poem is about letting go of those memories and restoring the confidence to try again. It is about letting go of all the lies and misunderstandings and leaving each other honestly.
