July 3rd, 2014
Stars like freckles across the night sky
illuminate the city of chelsea
as the current of air moves swiftly
on the third of July.
One siamese cat, a persian cat and a burmese cat,
sly and greedy for the 11pm darkness,
devise the rebellious acts against its matriarch; feeling precarious,
for it surely may cause chaos in the secret kingdom of rats.
Confidentially fleeing the strict tribe for an egregious explosion,
they prowl beneath the street filled with the sickening aroma of the tin cans;
identical to an astounding ambush being put into plan,
they get near the field filled with the hazy sound of commotion.
Admirals hill, the wet earth turned into filthy clods,
was occupied with lingering souls waiting for the event to unfold.
The sky was filled with big puffs of water droplets, too many for the heavens to hold,
and the trees shaking from the gales, the atmosphere feeling odd.
BOOM! BANG! CRASH!
The explosion had begun in a flash.
The sky is a blank canvas and the operator is the artist,
different hues and shades bursting as the nightfall is at its darkest.
BOOM! BANG! CRASH!
The thunderous sound of the sky as the trees clash.
The siamese, the persian and the burmese get ready for the worst
that has yet to come as the sky prepares to burst.
In an instance, the sky creates a horrific squall;
The panic stricken crowd start to sprint and attempt not to fall.
The wind howled, the lightning cracked,
the rain poured, the cats wracked.
The storm had ceased, let’s all give a cheer!
The cats and the souls were no longer in fear.
This unanticipated turn of events that collaborated in the night sky,
had punished the cats on the third of July.
