This is me.
I’m from TV dinners,
On the living room floor
From craft mac and cheese
From Levi jeans
I’m from back and forth,
From moms to dads,
From richer to poorer
I’m from dirt on the ground,
In the backyards
I’m from big Christmases at home,
From Santa’s real
I’m from conversations with dad,
In the old orange Chevy
I’m from the loud music,
Up all night, but learning to sleep through
I’m from coveralls with nothing underneath
I’m from the dream big,
To go far
From the never give up,
And be who you truly are
I’m from the sad but pleasing at times,
Only child life
I’m from the oceans and sunburns,
With water in my veins
I’m from small town,
With the constant plea to get out
But I’m happy
Cause I am who I am,
I’m from my own little world
I’m me
Destiny.
