The Eucalyptus Tree
Happy as can be, below the eucalyptus tree.
Carrying my baby in my pouch, it's as if he has a personal couch.
Soft, cozy skin, keeping him toasty with a grin.
Sleeping 19 hours a day, the tree is where we like to play.
Sleepiness hits as it's time for a nap. I hope this is no trap.
Zookeepers please don't take me away, up in this tree is where I wish to stay.
Australia is my home, the only place where I roam.
As you draw your gun, I have no choice but to run.
My family has been torn apart, my baby has no mother, and I a broken heart.
If things could go back to how they used to be, happy as can be, below the eucalyptus tree.
