Broken record
Playing over and over:
Can you stop? Will you stop?
Being answered by stuffing another in her mouth.
No, I can't. No, I won't. No, I'll never stop.
Playing over and over:
Now you're done. Now you know what to do.
Being answered by forcing it out to be flushed away.
I can't be fat. I won't be fat. I'll never be fat again.
Broken record,
stuck on repeat, playing over and over.
Till white walls rise all around her
trying to fix her, trying to help
but the record becomes slower, weaker, fainter.
Till that broken record stops.
