Cancer
Death is in the room
it’s always mingling around,
Waiting to wreak havoc
on another innocent soul,
Needles deep in arms
Countless appointments
to rid it all,
Waking up in the calm of night
because the pain is far too much,
Children scared to be around you
because you are acting awfully different,
Hair falling out strand by strand
forced to wear a wig,
Goals are changing everyday
because the cancer wants to stay,
A month of the year
dedicated to those who passed,
Those who survived
thanking God alast.

My father was very important to me and he played a very important role in my life. He passed away year ago. Words can only describe the pain I go through on a daily basis. I know for a fact I am not the only one who has lost someone because of cancer.
