When Light Flees
November 2, 2014
As light finishes its duties for the day,
Darkness readies itself, preparing to chase the light away.
Darkness creeps slowly across the horizon, smothering the light.
And the light itself flees hurriedly, not even whimpering its plight.
At last, when darkness has conquered the sky, light takes a break and gathers its strength.
And soon, light reemerges, strong, powerful, and ready to reclaim the heavens.
Darkness curses the light and swears its return, to which the light nods its head slowly.
