Basketball

Basketball is my way to get a w a y
I put my shoes on and go out and play
I love the sound the ball makes when it swishes
And I hate the sound it makes when it misses
This past summer I got hurt playing what I love
From a little tweak and a shove
I’m working my way back to where I use to be
I’ve had my ups and my downs of being injured
Honestly I thank it for happening
I’ll be STRONGER and a smarter basketball player
Very soon I’ll be able to play
Basketball is my way to get away
