SIGHT
You can turn around,
and see the Earth,
from someone else's eyes.
You can raise your hands,
but never surrender,
swear to tell no lies.
No one else,
in this world,
knows what you've gone through.
But if you see,
beyond yourself,
you can see it too.
You can see,
what I see,
when I close my heart.
I see emotions,
I see people,
I see lives ripped apart.
Yet I let none of it,
touch me,
that way I don't feel pain.
From knives, from cries,
when someone dies,
from tears mixed with the rain.
All of it,
means nothing,
that's how I can see
what no one else,
can know,
what's deceit, what's honesty.
I lost myself,
in the wind,
lost my identity.
I forgot,
what I sought,
I forgot what it means to be free.
And with my life,
I also lost,
everything I knew.
So everything,
that I know now,
is what I'm going through.
I see the future,
I see the past,
I see that nothing will ever last.
I see the words,
that you have spoken,
I see the times your heart was broken.
The only thing,
that I can't see
is who I was, and who I will be.
So look again,
so that you can see,
although I see everyone, I can't see me.
