Owl of Athena
Throughout the course of time
I have remained my masters companion.
I aided her in the helping of Odysseus,
and the saving of baby Hercules.
She is Zeus’s favorite daughter,
and embodied wisdom and strength.
From her knowledge and vigor
I have gained my stigma of being wise.
I give her company on her journeys,
and I aid her in choosing good decisions.
Sometimes the gods act out of rationale,
and I am needed to tame my master’s temper.
She’ll confide into me her secrets,
and I act like her diary and keep them safe.
She’ll come to me for advice,
and I speak to her with my most honest opinion.
We go on many journeys,
we travel over the mountains of Greece,
the blue oceans that surround the area,
to the Gods in the heavens.
Athena is a tactful warrior fighting for their life,
as she always tries to make logical decisions.
Sometimes she strays off her path
and I help her come to her senses and put her back straight.
I watch over my master as she is a part of me,
and I stay alert and ready to swoop down and save her
when she needs me to help at any moment.
I will always stay loyal by her side.
