Salute
Today,
This day,
This one group of 24 hours,
We use to celebrate a certain type of person,
The non-cowards.
Thee bravest people in the world,
That fight,
Day and night,
For the freedom of every boy and girl.
To the great U.S. veterans that put there life on the line,
To me these people deserve more of our time,
They deserve more than 24 hours,
Because they are the ones who protect us,
They hold the power.
No matter where you were stationed,
Or when you were recruited,
When veterans day rolls around you will all be saluted.
I am a civilian,
You are a veteran,
You fight so i can go home safe,
and head to bed again.
So the deepest part of my heart,
I say thank you.
Thank you to every single U.S. veteran
across the seven seas,
Job well done soldier,
At ease…
