I'm Sorry
You try to explain,
But she's already in tears
You need to spit something out before she's gone
How do you tell the woman you love,
That what she saw isn't what she thought
With some other girl in your bed
There's no way you were cheating,
But you know the truth is that you were
Now you're losing her
Say something before it's too late
An empty doorway opens,
You take a glance
Noticing how dark it is
You realize she is no longer there
But instead it's empty
Can I survive,
You think
Will she ever forgive you?
But you know she won't
You did her wrong, so she's gone
It might be days, even weeks
Before you set your mind on a new love
Even though you know she won't ever be good enough
Your heart it still stuck on the one you lost
If only you had fought
The marvelous thing is that,
After she breaks inside
She'll find a new life
While you're missing her
She's kissing him
The jokes on you
'Cause you lost something so true
It's your turn to break
It's your turn to feel lost
It's your turn wishing one of you had fought

There was this guy I dated. We were together maybe 3 months, but even though it was short there was just so much there. It was so easy to be open and he gave me my first taste of happiness. It didn't matter how crappy my day had been, the moment he smiled I was happy. Then, we hit a rough patch. My mom decided he wasn't good enough and told me to leave him, but I fought for him. Which ended with him leaving me on Christmas Eve for my best friend... And I guess he was sneaking around with her before we broke up. Of course I was shattered. Anyways, it's been a year. He is no longer with her and we still talk to each other. I know we both still hold some feelings because we both had a love we had never had before. I guess we are somewhat still holding on. The problem is... Can I go back and not expect the same thing to happen? I've got no idea! The point is, things happen. Time gets tough, but there's always a smooth path after the bad. Girls, if he has ever dumped you, realize that eventually he is going to regret what he did and you WILL move on too. If you don't and he doesn't either, maybe, just maybe, it's meant to be. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance... So all of you, good luck!
