I Think
I Think
I think it’s beautiful
That the magic of the moon
Relies upon the shimmering sun
For its soothing, nightly light
That is friendship.
I think it’s comforting
How the loyalty of the mourning doves’
Never wavers for a better mate
But remains true for eternity
That is faith.
I think it’s wonderful
How the rain leaps to its death
Plummets to the earth
And discovers new life
That is trust.
I think its captivating
How a spider’s perfect, unrivaled web
Prays for nourishment
Though none may come
That is hope.
I think it’s admirable
That a leisurely snail
Will endlessly travel through rain and heat
Dedicated to reach its destination
That is patience.
I know it’s inspiring
When love and respect inhabit a community
Infecting others with natures natural sweetness
This is family
