The Sound of Birds

October 3, 2014
By Anonymous

The sound of the birds,

chirping in the morning.
I hear the sound of the train,
as the wheels clack against the tracks.
The sizzle of a pan,
bacon grease popping off the stove.
Then,
I hear the roar of a motor.
I jump out of bed,
look out the window,
and realize that the bus is in front of my house.
I jump into my sweats and run.
I run and I run until my legs feel numb.
Just to realize that the bus has left me.
I fall to my knees.
I cannot miss school.

Oh, wow. Haha, it's rather sad to me, because the person missed the bus. But all in all, as simple as it may be, it's still wonderful and amazing. :) Simple but powerful.
