The Best of Memories
Today, the day of the last baseball game of mine that my grandpa will ever be able to make, due to the cancer that has been infesting his body for many months.
At around mid-game, I went over to the car that has become his place on the bleachers, and talked to him about various things until I was on deck, the last thing I said to him before running off: I`m gonna hit you a homer Papa!
When I went up to bat that’s exactly what I did, I hit it so far that it went into the next field over and halted their game.
At the end of the game, my coach came up to me and handed me the ball and congratulated me.
This ball is just one of the things that I use to remember my Papa.
