Two Summers Ago
Two Summers ago we played the lovers game.
Testing the waters hoping to float
but eventually drowning.
A misery of the heart
A lesson learned too soon.
As everyone else slept
we kissed all hours of the night.
As the earth spun our hearts beated.
We were loving each other hoping it would be enough.
Society told us to not be together.
Your parents would of beat you till your eyes flew off.
I was hoping to hold you from the outside world views.
I could not hold you from it all.
I cried and I threw myself into my darkest time.
Shouting at everyone.
Leaving scars all over my wraist.
I threw the ones I loved out my heart.
Feeling nothing but hurt and broken promise lingering.

I was inspired by a love for a man, who would never love me but yet he made me think he did. He has not yet showed that though.
