An autumn I never knew

I sigh and stare at the dull grass
Slowly dying as days pass
Birds fly to go migrate
It has always been this way
Leaves die as the seasons move on
Everything changes with a swish of a wand
All is dull
All starts to shrivel
Suddenly a flash of gold
Something rather not old
The leaves rustle through the wind
I never knew but it's always been
A sight to see in the autumn leaves
Twinkling gold in the trees
The sun reflects off the colors
Red, orange, and gold leaves flutter
I never knew how autumn can be
A wonderful season to exist with me
