Begging in the street

Falling at other’s feet
Is a beast
Donning ragged attire
Of the colour of a car’s worn out tyre
Surrounding its head
Is a thick layer of unkempt fur
The size of a bead
Are its eyes
Searching for grains of rice

Its heart is white
Looking for a light
In its life without electricity
Rotten food
Is its only meal
Flood,
In the size of a palm
Is its Nile

O’, god, why did you do this?
What sin have I committed?
You did not give it the ability to read
Nor did you give it the ability to lead
O’, god, why did you do this?
What sin have I committed?
O’, god, you could wipe off its race
Rather than make us look at its dirty face
O’, god, why did you do this?
What sin have I committed?

The poem I have written is about god’s cruelty. What, I believe is most cruel of god is to be unequal to human beings; the difference between different humans that causes humans to be branded. On example is poor beggars who beg in the street for money, not having the ability to do any job. Since they are born this way, it is not their fault and I believe god is to blame for giving them a harsh life while others are born in a silver spoon. They also fall at other’s feet, which emphasizes on the difference between the rich and the poor as the poor are treated like slaves. They are beasts with an ugly appearance, due to their harsh conditions, wearing dirty clothing. Their eyes are small and shrunken because they are weak. Their eyes pick out small grains of rice, which emphasizes on their diet. They have an innocent, kind heart that know  nothing about cheating and fraudulent, and are original. They await any chance for a better life in their life filled with miseries. They eat thrown away food. Furthermore, a small puddle of water means a lot to them, which emphasizes on their food and water source. I blame the god for creating this pitiful race that is of no use at all and is disrespected by many in the current world, and say that it is cruel of god to make us watch them suffer. I like to write about poverty because there is a lot to describe and i feel that we are complaining about little things while they are happy over little things even when they are miserable. I also believe that everyone must be equal and that is why god is cruel-he did not make everyone the same in terms of wealth and status.
