Because I Love You
If you somehow forget me,
I'll remember you
as I lay here among
the forgotten,
because I love you.
And even though,
the bullets crash down
all around me and into me
and then dissolve to ash,
I just remember the memories
that we had together.
So I don't care,
if the blood gushes out,
and the tears somehow,
seep through and sprung out;
I'll just remember you,
because I love you.

This poem was inspired by a person and his song, "SayWeCanFly - The Distance That Took You Away." After I listened to the song, I felt like I needed to write, and this is what came. After I wrote it, I thought how it could be a soldier thinking of his or her loved ones before he or she breathes their last breath. A soldier doesn't only have to be a soldier in the Army or Navy, but also people, can be soldiers too; warriors. We are all warriors in our own way. I thank all the soldeirs and warriors, out here in our world. Thank you all. I love you all. Because I love you.
