Favorite Quote:
'No pain, no gain'

War, war

Why must you be so bitter

Ruthless and brutal

Leaving sorrow in your wake

Alond with destruction and a haze of red

You are the omen of destruction.

Battle weary men

Lie in the trenches with bloodshot eyes

Grasping their guns- their wives away from home

Thinking about their families

Far, far away.

And soon you arrive with Death

Perfect companions.

And all the soldiers see

Is a flashing fury fracturing their lives

Engulfed in pain and fear,

Their lives zoom across their minds

Just for a fleeting moment

Before they rest in eternal sleep

In you 'refuse heap'.

War, war!

Why must you be so cruel

Taking lives like they are worth naught.

But the lives you take

Are the ones that created you

Into this abomination you are.

So reign free

Wreak havoc on those who made you

Cover them with ash and blood

With bodies lying askew

The tyranny of war.

The author's comments:

I was actually inspired to write this piece from History lessons when I learnt of how humans are actually the ones who harm themselves by creating wars and such. I hope that from this people will get a dark impression about the foolishness of mankind at times and to propose a different side to war.
