Panting

sweating

pumping

god, I can't breathe

achey

hurty

ouchy

but, god, I can't stop

in my sights,

I see them

I know I can make it

god, I can't stop now

they're walking

and I'm still running

running until I catch up to them.

Thank god I caught up.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

This is a wonderful poem. : ) I love that you're honest in your poem, and that it involves running. All in all, it's amazing. : ) Thank you for sharing this. ^_^
