The Pack
It's whenever I'm alone I miss You,
It's when I'm hurt and broken that I wish I was Them,
But I still stand - You taught me to fight with my all,
And yet I want nothing more than to see You again.
As a wolf, Your heart is forever free,
Your wild spirit now dances beyond the sea,
No longer are Your ears useless - no longer Your legs numb,
You can run - You run where only the others can follow.
A labrador, Your sister is strongest as She lends strength,
Her and I, We share the same passion - a desire for the better,
Forever loyal, She fears none as She protects Her loved ones,
Especially Your brother, the youngest of You Three.
Feisty and playful, the young lab is forever there for Us all,
When You still need help in Your new world,
When She wants a moment of pleasantries and merriment,
And when I need a body to hold when I miss You to much.
A Pack of Three, but one day, I'll join in Your runs under the moonlit sky, and race along You. A Pack. Our Pack.
